ELECTIONS UPDATE


We can now confirm that overseas forms can be emailed back to Te Tawharau at: tetawharau@ngatipukenga.com

Please note, this option is only available to whanau who live overseas due to the distance for postage and time delays.

For whanau who reside in New Zealand, you will need to return your form via postal ballot (note that the last post delivery to the runanga is Friday 24th) or in person before voting closes by 10:30am on the day of the Hui-A-Iwi as advised in the voting panui that has been posted out.

The results of the election will be announced at the end of the Hui-A-Iwi:

The Ngāti Pūkenga Iwi ki Tauranga Trust notifies all descendants of Ngāti Pūkenga Iwi ki Tauranga that the Trust will hold a

HUI-A-Iwi
Date:   Sunday 26th March 2017
Time:   10.00am
Venue:  Te Whetu o te Rangi Marae
612 Welcome Bay Road, TAURANGA

The purpose of this hui will be to:
1.   Elect a representative onto the Mauao Trust (as a replacement to the position formally held by Te Awanuiarangi Black).  If you wish to be considered then you should attend the Hui and provide both a written and verbal presentation on your skills and experience for this position;

2.  Vote for up-to 2 members for the Ngāti Pūkenga Iwi ki Tauranga Trust to bring the total members on the Trust to 6.  The results of the election will be announced at the end of the Hui-A-Iwi.

Nominations are now being called for the 2 vacant positions.  If you or a registered adult member of the Trust wish to stand please contact the Trust for a nomination form and specific details. 

Nominations will close on the 27th February 2017. 

If more than 2 nominations are received then an election process will take place with voting forms sent out on the 1st March 2017 with voting being by Postal ballot or delivered on the day of the Hui-A-Iwi specified above. 

Voting will close at the Hui-A-Iwi at 10.30am 26th March 2017.

Postponement of AGM

Call for Trustee Nominations

The Ngāti Pūkenga Iwi ki Tauranga Trust (“Trust”) calls for nominations for six Trustee positions which will be vacated at the Trust’s Annual General Meeting this year.

Four positions are for Iwi Trustees who are associated by Whakapapa to the Trust and two positions are open for a General Trustee who are not associated by Whakapapa.  If there are no General Trustee nominations than all six positions will be available for Iwi Trustee positions.  Any person who wishes to be nominated must be 18 years or older and must be nominated by a registered adult member of the Trust on the official Trustee Nomination Form which can be obtained from the Trust Administration at the contact details below.

Iwi Trustees must reside in the Tauranga Moana rohe to be eligible for nomination and must have the skills and experience to fulfill the role.  Nominations open on Saturday 15th October 2016 and close two weeks later at 5pm, Thursday 27th October 2016. 

All rules regarding nominations will be provided to interested people when requesting a Trustee Nomination Form.
